The Great Saltine Challenge

Yesterday afternoon, Harry and I decided to take "The Great Saltine Challenge." As a lover of Food TV, one night last week, Harry and I watched an episiode of Food Detectives. On this particular episode, they were trying to figure out whether or not it was physically posible to eat six saltine crackers in 60 seconds. The food techs on the show were unable to do it. Having never met a challenge he didn't like, Harry claimed that, in fact, he could eat six saltine crackers in one minute. It was on! We wagered our bets and took the challenge yesterday afternoon. (It was supposed to be our version of half time for the bears/panthers game, but a different game was televised instead....damn you directv!). Anyway, the rules were set and so was the timer. Harry took the challenge first and in fact he WAS able to completely consume six saltine crakcers in 60 seconds, but just barely...with 2 seconds to go. I, on the other hand, failed miserably. And, I do believe, it is impossible for the average human being to do this. Harry was just bound and determined and wasn't about to be showed up by some lousy crackers!!! So, looks like, for the next week, I will be cleaning the kitty litter box AND giving my husband some much needed TLC...he probably deserves it anyway!

Finally!! We are up and running!!

After much discussion, our, er, rather my blog is up and running!  Harry has decided, that while he likes the "idea" of a blog, he would rather handle the technical end of things.  So, the posts will be mostly from me, although they will include info on our whole little family.  My plan is to post the updates on our life here in the cozy little town of Dupont, PA on a monthly basis or as new things happen.  Please feel free to post as you wish - it would be great to hear from everyone.  The next post will be around the end of the month or soon thereafter.  Until then - Thanks for visiting.
